The CD
The cuts on the First 3Poets CD are re-mixes of routines from several 3Poets performances. Steven Parish did the re-mix using a Mac computer and pro tools. The re-mix was done very much in the original spirit of the work but Steven was also guided by a desire to use a pop song form, establish and then depart from a groove and experiment with rhythmic cutting.
Note to Programmers: An appropriate cut to play is “That May Be” (track 19 on the Kootenay Co-op Radio CD, track 5 on the Three Poets CD.) It is a remix of one routine from an evening performance done at the Eagles Hall in Nelson at the Canadian Art Therapy Conference in 1997.
